CRITICAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZING -THIS COURSE IS FOR STUDENTS WITH RESEARCH INTERESTS IN COMMUNITY- BASED ORGANIZING AS WELL AS THOSE CONSIDERING CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FIELD OF NON-PROFIT, PUBLIC POLICY, AND SOCIAL JUSTICE. THE CLASS WILL STUDY THE NOTION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZING FROM SCHOLARLY AND PUBLIC POLICY PERSPECTIVES, AS WELL AS FROM COMMUNITY AND PERSONAL ENGAGEMENTS.
