This course will examine the role of art in examining, ignoring, and protesting apocalyptic events from the personal to the global. Students will write and revise two papers, one of which will engage in academic discourse on the course texts, and one of which will address another audience of the student's choice. Emphasis will be on understanding the audience and purpose of written work. The final project may be multimodal, should students desire. The course is open to all majors.
