EDUCATION AND RACE: IMPACTS AND IMPLICATIONS THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED TO EXPLORE HOW RACE HAS IMPACTED EDUCATIONAL, ECONOMIC, AND SOCIAL OUTCOMES OF COMMUNITIES OF COLOR. AS WELL AS EXAMINE HOW THESE COMMUNITIES USE EDUCATION AS A TOOL TO RESIST STRUCTURAL INEQUALITIES. THE GREATER GOAL OF THIS CLASS IS TO HELP CONTEXTUALIZE AND PROVIDE A COUNTER-NARRATIVE OF THE IMPACT OF PEOPLE ON THE CALLS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EQUALITY IN URBAN AMERICA.
