THIS COURSE IS A COMMUNITY-BASED LEARNING COURSE OFFERED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUTDOORS FOR ALL. IT COMBINES IN-PERSON AND ONLINE COMPONENTS. ONLINE MEETINGS WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAYS, JANUARY 10, FEBRUARY 7, AND MARCH 7 FROM 10:00 TO 11:30 AM. IN-PERSON SESSIONS WIL BE HELD AT STEVENS OR SNOQUALMIE PASSES, WHERE STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THREE OF FOUR ON-MOUNTAIN TRAINING DAYS ON WEEKENDS
Catalog Description:
Analyzes disability representations in literature, film, and other cultural texts; social science approaches to disability marginalization and empowerment; intersectionality of disability with other markers of diversity and identity. Offered: jointly with DIS ST 332/LSJ 332; AWSpS.
