SPECIFICALLY, IT INCORPORATES INSIGHTS FROM FEMINIST MATERIALISM, MEDICAL PHENOMENOLOGY, MADNESS STUDIES, MEDIA STUDIES, AND ART TO RETHINK THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MINDS AND BODIES IN 21ST CENTURY CONFIGURATIONS OF INFORMATION FLOWS, CAPITAL, AND POWER.
Syllabus Description (from Canvas):

This class investigates the politics of knowledge by asking how embodiment shapes our world? Specifically, it incorporates insights from feminist materialism, medical phenomenology, madness studies, media studies, and art to rethink the relationship between minds and bodies in 21st century configurations of information flows, capital, and power.

Catalog Description:
Investigates the theoretical and practical problems of interpretation and knowledge production in a topic chosen by the instructor. Primarily for majors. Prerequisite: CHID 101.
