"THE ART OF WRITING" (W, SSC CREDIT) IN THIS COURSE STUDENTS WILL PRACTICE THE ART OF WRITING, CONSIDERING DIFFERENT GENRES, THINKING OF DIFFERENT AUDIENCES. FOCUSING ON THE CLIMATE CRISIS, WE WILL EXPLORE VARIOUS APPROACHES TO WRITING ABOUT CRITICAL ISSUES: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HUMANS AND NATURE, THE INTERTWINING OF POLITICS AND THE ENVIRONMENT, POSITIVE WAYS FORWARD. WE WILL READ AND DISCUSS SELECTIONS FROM DIVERSE AUTHORS: JOURNALISTS, ACTIVISTS, ACADEMICS, POETS, AND NOVELISTS
