Biography

Will McKeithen is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography at the University of Washington. His work explores the politics of human-environment relations, feminist and queer theory, geographies of gender and sexuality, health and embodiment under late capitalism, and animal studies. His PhD research focuses on the structural violence and lived experience of toxicity in the US. Will has taught courses including Research Design, Qualitative Methods, and Urban Geography. His teaching creates a caring space where students are given the skills and knowledge to think critically, build collective power, and engage as active citizens in their multiple publics. Will is involved with the Critical Animal Studies Working Group and Academic Workers for a Democratic Union.
