Biography
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, a city that I deeply love and that inspires both my intellectual work and political activism. I studied Geography at the University of Buenos Aires, and later I received a MA and a PhD, also in Geography, at the University of Washington. My interests involve questions about urban politics, social justice, citizenship, and identity. Particularly, my research has focused on political spaces that work outside institutionalized channels and have potential for creating novel ways of organizing across social difference. Community work and commitment to remaining politically active are key parts of my understanding of academic work, and so throughout the years, I have been involved in several political and grassroots organizations in Argentina.
