Queering Cinema

Queering Cinema: An Intersectional Analysis of Queerness and Queer coding in film that will utilize the perspectives of narrative building, storytelling, cinematography, and Queer theory. Students will receive a general knowledge of queer theory, cinematography, and script writing before diving into 7 different Queer/Queer-coded films featuring directors, actors, writers, producers, creators, etc. who utilize their intersectional identities to tell queer stories and increase queer representation in the film world.
