Blockchain offers new ways for people to organize non-hierarchical communities around ideas to build out concepts and make ideas actionable. This Winter Quarter 2022 (January 2022) Focus Group proposal seeks to open up discussions where diverse groups of people come together to make ideas actionable by learning about and using blockchain based decentralized community tools and networks.

Topics for discussion include: What are decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and how can they allow fair governance, accountability and reward? How is the metaverse the future of collaboration? What if blending the physical and virtual together can quantify immaterial labor? How can blinders be removed from highly specialized fields to open up exponential idea creation via concepts like the Adjacent Possible?

We are at the cusp of a revolution where power can be truly in the hands of the people. Let’s conceive and begin implementing this inclusive future together!
