Mental Health, but make it cool! A seminar guided by lived experience, will be centered around mental health broken down to the individual level. The purpose of the class is to first and foremost distinguish mental health and mental illness. Once the two are understood, we can then jump into personal mental health and how to optimize and facilitate a healthy mental state. Students will be exploring new forms of therapy with the ultimate goal of collectively reimagining the mental health conversation. We will also take an in-depth look at self-love and self-expression. And the most exciting topic we will cover is a new concept/ theory I am developing which is called Mental Fitness. Mental Fitness implores us to view our mental health as if it were a muscle in our bodies, and provides new examples for how we can make sure to keep our minds healthy.
