A focus group for inspiring critical and open-ended discourse on theories of transformative consciousness and healing, both scientific and spiritual.
We will build discussion on an interdisciplinary foundation of study, focusing on weekly excerpts from Rhetorician Richard Doyle's 2011 book, Darwin's Pharmacy: Sex, Plants, and the Evolution of the Noösphere, supplemented by research in medicine and psychopharmacology, comparative religious studies, evolutionary ethno-botany/mycology, Jungian and Transpersonal psychology, and more!
Participants will be asked to complete short writing assignments in order to promote textual analysis, reflection, and discussion, culminating in a final creative project.
