Focus Groups: For Faculty Advisors

Faculty advisors play primarily a supporting role for students who would like to organize a focus group in CHID. They are expected to:

  1. Help the student design a reasonable syllabus for a 2-credit, CR/NC course, concentrating on reading load, assignments, and overall concept.
  2. Check in with the student over the course of the quarter to help troubleshoot any problems or concerns that may arise over the course of the quarter.
  3. Determine the final grades for the students enrolled in the focus group, in consultation with the facilitating student. These grades will be submitted to the CHID advisor.
