Course Evaluations

Erin Clowes orders all of the course evaluation forms for all CHID classes each quarter. You can visit the Office of Educational Assessment, Course Evaluations  website for descriptions of the various student course evaluation forms, as well as other information on evaluation procedures and methodology.

If you would like to see the results of your (or others') student course evaluations visit https://www.washington.edu/cec/.

Grading

FROG (Faculty Resources on Grading) offers information on grading practices at UW.

If you need to change a student’s grade, you can do so online here.

Promoting Your Class

Be sure to put your class description online so students can see what it will be about! You can do this here: Instructor Class Descriptions.

Also, send Erin Clowes (clowese@uw.edu) your class description and recommendations for some images, and she will create a flyer for your class.

Technology

If you want a class website, there are two major resources available to you:

Catalyst (UWired) - tools, resources, and support for integrating technology with teaching. ()

Canvas  Website - a new UWNetID-based class website tool that integrates well with Gradebook.

If you need to request occasional technology in your class, Classroom Support Services is the place to go. You can also check to see if CHID has the equipment that you need.

Textbooks

Faculty should order their own textbooks at the University Book Store: http://www.bookstore.washington.edu/_faculty_staff/faculty_staff.taf

If you would like a desk copy of any of your textbooks, email Erin Clowes (clowese@uw.edu) with the details.

If you want to put items on reserve at the library, visit this page:
