A stepping stone into issues of marginalization, power, privilege, and oppression, Queer 101 will take an intersectional look at matters of race, gender, sexuality, class, disability, bodies and more in regards to their existence outside of binaries and theĀ  history that lead to our interpretations of them. There is no requisite level of knowledge for this group, as regardless of where you come from the goal is to come out with a greater understanding of queer issues at large and how to best handle them going forward. This group operates with weekly readings and relevant media that are incorporated into personal writing based exposition and in-session discussions and small activities.
