Suzanne serves CHID as its administrator – overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring that the CHID Program runs smoothly, efficiently, and with much fun! She is a CHID alum, having received her BA in 1991 (when CHID 390 was the only CHID-specific course!); some years later, she earned her Master of Social Work degree at Washington University in St. Louis.
Back in her home state, Suzanne spent 14 years at the UW School of Social Work, where she refined her program management and administration skills as the co-director of a project that increased social work students' competencies to work with older adults. As that project came to an end, Suzanne sought to return to the CHID Program--and feels blessed to get to come to work each day at this innovative, creative, and supportive center of student learning.
When not in the office, Suzanne may be found digging in the dirt in her woodland garden, hiking a forest or mountain trail, motorcycling the twisty back roads, or traveling the country with her husband, John, in their camper van.
