Andrea Schmitt is a attorney with the Working Families Project and Columbia
Legal Services. Her practice has focused on issues relating to farmworkers and
other low-wage workers, in addition to housing and public benefits. She also
devotes significant time to a variety of legal needs for indigenous Guatemalan
communities on the Olympic Peninsula, assisting with consumer, housing, and
public benefits issues.
Ms. Schmitt will talk about her legal work and will engage in a conversation with
undergraduate students who are interested in learning more about her field.
