Faith-Lynn Tenorio

Faith-Lynn is a Southern California native beginning her senior year at the UW. Her interests are too numerous to list completely, which is probably why she maxed out her ability to take CHID 480 classes (special topics classes are awesome and everyone should max out their ability to take them). She really enjoys analyzing science fiction/fantasy movies, television shows, and comics, and was a peer facilitator for Nancy’s 250 class, "A History of Superheroes."  Additionally, she is particularly interested in the relationship between media and fan culture. She hopes to utilize her senior thesis to explore ways minority groups have used and can use fan culture as a means of resistance against oppression.
