Please join us for our next Conversation in the Humanities on Tuesday, October 8 at 7pm at the Black Box Theatre. Dr. Anu Taranath, professor in the English Department and the Comparative History of Ideas Program at the University of Washington, will present "The World in Washington: An Exploration of Literature and Our Lives". This conversation is free and open to the public. Faculty and staff, please make sure your students know about this opportunity. Dr. Taranath will introduce us to inspirational stories and literature written by multicultural authors from around the state. We will learn about cultural diversity and identity, and wonder together how storytelling affects who we are and how we think of others. This interactive conversation will help us better understand who comprises our state, the range of perspectives Washingtonians have and strategies for living together with more clarity and intention.
